Funding Your Future
The FAFSA is easier than you think. It’s the one application that unlocks grants, better campus jobs, and backup plans.
What’s in it for you?
Free Money (Grants)
If your income qualifies, the government gives you money for school. You do not pay this back.
Better Jobs (Work Study)
Unlocks jobs on campus that are flexible with your class schedule and put education first.
An Optional Backup (Loans)
It gives you the option to take a low-interest student loan, but you never have to accept it.
It's a simple 2-step process
Create your FSA IDs
Your digital signature. Student and Parent each need one.
- Students must have an SSN.
- Parents do not need an SSN to create an account.
Sync your Taxes
Forget paperwork. The new form connects directly to the IRS.
- Approve the transfer inside the application.
- Data moves automatically.
- You're done!
"Do I really need to do this?"
"I won't qualify for grants..."
You should still apply. Many colleges and scholarships *require* the FAFSA just to see you made the effort before they give you their own funds.
"I'm not going to college yet..."
It's a free safety net. If your military or gap year plans change last minute, having a FAFSA on file means you aren't scrambling for cash.
